There’s no better time than right after birth to capture every adorable detail of your newborn, from their wrinkled skin to their teeny tiny toes. As your newborn changes and develops before your eyes, you’ll be glad you documented these early days. 

To capture the first weeks of your newborn’s life, you can choose from a wide variety of photographers. With so many factors to consider, it’s easy to become overwhelmed! One important choice is whether to have your session at home or in a studio. Both choices are great and have different advantages. Here are the reasons why I think an in-studio newborn session in the Pittsburgh area might be ideal for you and your family. 

 Better lighting and consistency

 In-studio newborn photo sessions result in beautiful photos because I have more control over many elements of the shoot. It eliminates the possibility of any unforeseen location issues. I can control the lighting better and don’t have to search around your house looking for the ideal window light. This allows for meticulously planned portraits of consistently high quality. 

 You can relax

You can relax and enjoy your newborn photography session without having to worry about getting your home in order. You won’t have to worry about moving furniture, entertaining guests, or tidying your home. When it’s not your turn to be photographed, you can relax, scroll through your phone, or simply gaze at your new bundle!

Backgrounds that are aesthetically pleasing

At my studio in Greensburg, PA, I will handle the backgrounds! Don’t worry about whether or not your bedspread is the right color or if there are coffee mugs and laundry hiding nearby. You just had a baby, you don’t need extra stress! My minimalist style assures that the focus will be on your precious newborn, not what’s around or behind them.

Shorter Sessions

Another perk of an in-studio newborn session is that I can get everything ready for you before you even get here. You wont need to wait while I find the light in your home and set up all of my equipment and props. With a newborn, tired parents, and a postpartum mama, a time efficient session is always appreciated by my clients. 

 Temperature

My studio is kept at a temperature that allows your baby to be unclothed comfortably. It may be difficult to achieve a temperature of around 83 degrees in a single room of your home, especially if you have high ceilings. My studio provides a comfortable environment for this special session.

Cleanliness & Safety

I clean my Greensburg studio on a regular basis AND between each session, including blankets and props. You won’t have to worry about someone coming into your home and bringing any germs that may come along. I have taken many online workshops and participated in intensive hands-on training with leading newborn photographers because I am committed to the safety of your newborn. Because of my education and training, you can have peace of mind knowing your newborn is safe while they are being gently posed and photographed by me.
